every time she walks the room its annoying, because i'm trying to answer you guys' questions. i don't think she will approve of me going here, so i just shut this down when she comes in the room. For the last week she was accusing me of "doing something that i shouldn't be doing".
She said that again today and i just walked away because i felt harrassed. it was funny on monday, but now it's not.
how do i come here without having to sneak? also, how do i gain my mom's trust bacl
P.S my mother is very smart and nice, but this assumption is unexceptable

If you don't want the assumptions, you're going to have to tell the truth. Think about it. Would she think contributing to Yahoo Answers is worst that looking at porn? You're lucky because the truth is the less of the two evils here (not that truth is evil because it isn't).

I can't understand why your mother does not trust you, unless there has been a problem in the past. I know I would not like my kids on this site either for obvious reasons, even though it can be a good site for real advice, but there a few clowns on here who just ruins it for everyone, (back on topic). I trust my kids totally on the Internet, I know they won't go looking for porn, but if I caught them doing something bad once, then I would always have that red flag going up. I think you need to check your behaviour (or even the behaviour of your friends) in the past to understand why mom is feeling like this

Say this," SO you caught me! I am looking at porn. I am addicted. You happy?" After she freaks out, say listen. That was sarcasim. Just tell her you're on yahoo, take her to the pets section, say see isn't a big deal. When I was your age, my mom hacked on my e-mail and read it. I was soooo angry. My cousin and I was fighting, so she sent me an e-mail that say something like my friends were on drugs, and I think she was the one who told my mom to check my mail! It was all a lie and I was soooo angry with my mom. If you don't want her hacking into your mail, just say this is what I do. I am a teen, I Like privacy, like you did at my age. Now you know I am not at a porn site, or one of those kids that meet little pervs from how to catch a preditor.

I don't see what is so bad about coming here, but then again I don't know your mom. But what would you rather be accused of: answering people's questions or looking at porn?
Maybe just tell your mom the truth.

There is nothin wrong with this site, just be honest with your mom she will respect you more for your honesty i am sure if she is in deed a smart women, and I as a mother would be happy if my son was on a site like this one just either helping someone or just asking questions it is harmless, and not on some smutty website looking at unacceptable crap that is on the internet.

from a moms point of view, she just doesnot want to see you doing things u should not do. Please be honest with her, tell her what ur doing, i am a mom, I would let me kids do this question thing if they were honest with me. when your not home she can go through ur room ur computer, so be honest, she will love the honesty instead of the sneaking around. Your mom really loves u or she would not be so worried about you.

i really dont know why youd'e have to hide answerin pples questions. just be an adult about of course shes gonna be suspicious if you shut down the computer. the next ime she comes into the room show her what your doing. you cld even go as far as showing her your internet browser history (that is if uve been a good girl) ne wayz good luck

If I walked in on my son and he shut down the computer and was hiding stuff, I too would think he was up to no good. Show her what your doing and unless your asking and answering adult related questions you should have nothing to worry about should you?

You need to have ur mom come & sit b/s you while your online in yahoo questions. Let her see what your doing. Ask her to answer some ? for you. Its wrong to shut down computer...that makes her think bad things about you!
