Yeah, I got 20! Clever! My hubby also got 17 like a few of the others! But I recalculated it with him and he realised he was wrong - so for all those that lack math skills 2nite - try again! It is always 20. :)

It's a bit like if the digits from a whole number are added up and they can be divided with number 3, then the whole number is dividable with 3. Eg. 522 = 5+2+2=9 9 can be divided with 3, therefore the whole number 522 can be divided with 3...etc

HEY KITNA
Dear you forgot to half it basically in your case divide it by two incase you didnt know that let me put it in order for you

your number was 4
4 double is 8
add six gives you 14
half it gives you 7
subtract the number you thought of gives 3
double it you get 6
double it again give u 12
add 8 to it you get 20 ................

nice work so why arent you in the slow learners class yet u have been bunking ehhh!!!!!!!!!.

ha ha no with the number ∞ (infinity) you do not get 20 but nice try though

eg ∞ tims 2 is still ∞ and so it is when yuo add 6 so when yo tak away ∞ uo end up with 0 dubbling this it is still ) and again still 0 add ing 8 gives me 8

Nice one Adeline. Great to see you can't count! You'll always end up with 3 before you do the second and third doubling, as you are basically just dividing 6 by 2.
No matter what number you think of!
Oh, and another one. Nice one LittleBit!

Once you've subtracted the number you first thought of, you're left with 3. Doesn't matter what number you pick - its always 3. So of course it will work.
Isn't it obvious?

ok pi (3.141592654) x 2 + 6 = 12.283185307/2
= 6.141592654
- 3.141592654

= 9.141592654 x 2 = 18.28318531 x 2 = 36.56637061 + 8

= 44.56637061

haha i proved you wrong!

edit: ok i know i got this wrong, pi does apply to this rule! :(

Old trick, but worth rehashing! Look how many people didn't get it. They must be pretty dumb if they don't understand how that's done.
