Yesturday I notice that my sons (4 years old) eyes were watery and had a lot of goop in his eyes. Like a boogery look to it. And then I said, "If it continues for about 3 hours more, I'll call the doctor. So I called my friend and told her, she came right away and said, "Thats pink eye, take him to the doctor."
So I got him onto the doctors rooms, the doctor looked at my son and said, "He ok, its not pick eye," and didn't give me anything for it.
Today I checked his eyes and his left has right eye has got like a bloody dot on the cornea.
Is this pink eye or not? Is there risks, if it is? Or if its not, what is it?

Find another Doctor, it never hurts to be safe when it comes to your children. I took my daughter to the Doctor with a fever and a torso rash, he told me to treat the fever and ignore the rash, within a few hours the fever topped at 102.3 and the rash covered her from head to foot, took her to the emergency room, the Doctor walked in the room, looked at her and said "She has Scarlet Fever", my daughter could have died if I had not taken her to the emergency room. Good Luck.

Pink eye is extremely irritating and contagious. A 4 year old with it would be constantly rubbing his eyes, blinking his eyes, fussing and complaining. It is very common for a person (adult or child) to wake up in the morning with their eye lids "glued" shut from all the crud that comes out of the eye when they have Pink Eye. The bloody dot is most likely a small broken blood vessel which is quite common if a child is rubbing their eyes from any irritation and not necessarily from Pink Eye. Goop coming out of the eyes can be a sign of a cold starting or having sinus drainage - quite common in the colder months. Pink Eye actually makes the whites of your eye have a blood shot, pinkish look to them. There is an over the counter medication that you can buy by Similasan. We've used it several times and it works well to alleviate the symptoms.

He could have a cold in his eye. The blood dot will go away on its own. He could have gotten it by rubbing his eye when something was in or if he poked himself in the eye. I wouldn't freak out too much. Pink eye is really goopy and runny. And in the morning, if his eyes are crusted over and he can't open them, then its pink eye. It doesn't sound like he has pink eye. I'm not a dr but a childcare director so I've seen tons of pink eye cases since its common.

My son has been having the same thing lately too-he developed a slight fever after waking up with the eye goop for a couple days so I took him to the doc and they told me the same. I think it's like a head cold that is draining through their eyes. I got the same thing a few days ago and felt like I was developing a major sinus infection (serious congestion), but that went away after a few days of decongestion. Basically, I'm not sure what the heck it is either, but it seems fairly harmless. Try giving him some OTC decongestant if he can have that.

The whole eye would be inflamed and red if it were pink eye. It's probably a virus similar to a cold that is in the eye.

Never push aside your doubt. If you don't think everything is ok, then get a second opinion.
You should also google "pink eye", or "goop in childrens eyes", something like that so you can learn more.
I wish you luck!

It sounds to me like he has a sinus infection. It presents with watery eyes and a runny nose, and it will look like a thick mucous. Take him to another doctor.

If you like the doctor, give him one more chance by calling his office and telling him about what you see today. If it were me, though, I'd be pretty upset, and if I could afford it, I would take him to a clinic or another doctor. This sounds like it's certainly nothing to mess around with. All the best.

Your doctor should have told you at least what it was if it wasn't pink eye... I'd go get a 2nd opinion.
