Your vet was being overly cautious. You will need to retrain him. Thoroughly clean indoor surfaces where he has gone. Have carpets where he has gone cleaned too.
Take him out on a regular basis. He will develop a pattern of going in your yard if you return him to the same ground where he goes each time. He will get the scent and associate it with going. That should work with time and persistence.
PS - Forget the litter box for a dog.

I even have and bring up Brussel griffons.i'm no longer a professional groomer, yet a Brussel Griffon is assume to be stripped.on the face I decrease the hair very short below eyes and as much as the outer corners of eyes and on head.If the ears are cropped trim them additionally short and sorta mixture the hair coming down off the pinnacle into the lower back area of the physique.pass away the beard long beginning a pair of million/2 way the face on area ,below mouth and right down to the the place mouth starts below the neck.Trim finished physique short.you're able to do all this reducing with scissors, yet be cautious to no longer decrease your puppy.that's a sturdy concept to have the puppy groomed by employing a groomer first ,then you definately will understand the development greater valuable and could save it in simple terms trimed up.sturdy success and don't trouble, the hair will consistently boost lower back once you're making a mistake.

I think you just need to be consistent. Pick to either train him to go outside or use a litter box for now, you can teach him the other way later. Every time he's looking like he has to go, take him outside or to the litterbox and stand there with him until he does his business, then praise the dickens out of him.
