London cheats directory? Has anyone come across the directory of London refurbishing/decorator cheats?

With so many cheats in the building/decorating trade, there must be a register of offending firms who rob thousands of customers by taking deposits on repair jobs but fail to complete. As a house holder, I have suffered from these scams for a long time but have not been able to find any register on the web on this issue. A UK/London shared experience would be useful.
