I am an ordained minister....I did get into the truth...and not believing in god makes me feel alot better then believing did...I don't fear anything at all. Religion and the bible were both Created by man. You really have to pay attention to the history in the bible and realize that it wasn't really ment to be taken literally. I use science and fact and an understanding of human nature to understand life and how things work....not a made up God. I was never mad at God...I was once like you.

That question makes no sense. Belief in God is something that is taught, not the other way around. While some atheists were Christians before they became non believers, but even then it really doesn't make sense to say that they could be taught not to believe.
Religion like many other beliefs, have to have some sort of basis for them held as beliefs in the first place. If Christians or religious groups can't prove their claims, then I'm not going to believe them. So far no Religion has done so, so I remain an atheist, and was born an atheist.
In my case and in many other cases, there is no anger. I could no more be angry at God then I could the invisible unicorn in a the magical land of Faeries which I equally don't believe in. It's not an emotion issue I have with religion, only a rational issue with religion.

Are you just trying to start a fight?
For me the reason I don’t believe is there is no conclusive facts to prove that there is some old man watching over our every move. I mean actual, hard proof something that said he/she/it exists. Saying that you "feel it" doesn’t count.
Oh, why do you have to find the truth? Why should that be an issue? I mean, c'mon if you want some to be to believe in "god" or his word why doesn’t he come down here and say so. Why does there have to blind faith?
I'm not stubborn....just realistic, If there was hard evidence saying that he exists and you have to follow the rules or you'll be sorry I would gladly jump at the bit. And the whole Adam and Eve thing, what is that about? I mean, are we all inbred? That doesn’t seem to make sense. I’m not an expert in religion and I don’t pretend to be but don’t Christians or Catholics believe that the world was created in 7 days and the man was created less than 10,000 years ago? That too doesn’t make any sense at least to me. How do you explain Dinosaurs then? Dinosaurs died around 65 million years ago...and that has been proven.
I'm not trying to hate on religion, I believe that religion and the basic message is good thing. But when people start saying "my religion is better than yours" bad things happen. I grew in a religious household and when to church every Sunday but faith gave way to science and logic.
I just want some proof
Anyways that just my opinion.

First, stop using the word nonbelievers. It's non Christians. Learn a little respect for others and maybe they'll respect you in turn.
Second, I'm not angry with your god. I stopped believing so long ago thta I don't remember when it happened. My family is Catholic so I was raised to believe.
Third, stop being so condescending, arrogant and patronizing by saying "you should really try not to be so stubborn and get into God's word and you'll find the truth but you have to be willing". Don't you realize that I don't care what your bible says? I think its all a load of crap. And you acting as though your my parents isn't going to make me any more likely to believe.

You shouldn’t be so stubborn and then you might see things from our perspective.
My Great Grandmother was Jewish but converted to Christianity when she married (probably the most stupid reason for converting)
My Grandmother switched churches, but remained Christian
My mother became agnostic and I was mostly raised agnostic
Recently I feel I lean more towards atheism. I think this is because I have become more confident with my beliefs with age. (Not that my mother isn’t comfortable with Agnosticism)
Christianity is in no way about being a good person. If it were, than you wouldn’t have a problem with my not being a Christian.
I became Christian for a few years (starting in high school and ending when I was about 20).
It was the best decision I ever made to leave it behind. There is no logic in Christianity.
I have tried Christianity. Have you tried Atheism???
Peace :)

Hahahaha. That's funny.
I wasn't "taught" not to believe - I was "taught" to question. And when I questioned, I took a look at the "evidence" and realized it wasn't there. For 18 years I was a Christian, and then one day, I figured it out - it's a bunch of hogwash. There's no reason to believe, whatsoever, that anything in the Bible is true, and that there's a god in the sky, or wherever.
... Why do people always assume I was "wronged" by someone/god to become an atheist? :P

Believe what, exactly?
There are so many bizarre ideas offered up for belief, all of which have no objective proof, and which mostly contradict other beliefs.
How were you taught to believe? Being raised in a house with believers as parents? Did something co-incidental happen to you one day that you falsely attributed to your version of "god"?
Why are you a non-believer in the god(s) of Islam or Hindus? Are you angry at Vishnu?
The simple fact is, you are just as much an atheist when it comes to all other religious deities, I just "believe" in one less god than you do...so we really aren't that different.
I prefer knowledge over faith, thanks anyway.

Not sure, if this question pertains to me or not.
First, I believe there is an ultimate good, whether sentient or not as we understand that concept, that every human being should try to emulate. If this is what you call God, good for you.
Second, I absolutely refuse to let others tell me what that good is. The belief that an old set of writing was made which is the absolute standard of being good is lazy wishful thinking. Distinguishing good from bad is not that easy. You only wish it is because you cannot handle the angst of the realization that you are responsible for deciding correctly if what you are doing is good or bad. So you let others decide it for you.

No, I was not taught to not believe.
No, nothing bad happened to sour me towards god. I just grew up and realized that every practiced religion today has more in common with a fairy tale then it does with reality.
I assume you don't believe in Zeus. What do you have to base not believing in Zeus?
It is HYPOCRITICAL of you to ask why we are not willing to believe in yoru god while completely ignorning the 100,000 other gods that you dismiss without a second thought.

I believe but my faith continues to be weekend by my everyday trials and tribulations. It's hard to stay a believer these days especially when we don't really "see" miracles anymore. I wish I lived back in the day when angles came down to talk to people. Or when Jesus walked around performing miracles, and raising from the dead. That way is more tangent and easier to grasp. Nowadays faith is a hard thing to grasp. With all this technology and people cloning people. People start to question GOD. I try not to but it's hard.
