She will end up like my niece - who hated wearing glasses so she got contacts at age 13. Due to improper care, and sleeping in them at night, she got an infection that damaged her cornea.
And guess what? She can never wear contact lenses again. It's been over 10 years and she still hates wearing glasses - too bad - if she had taken care of her eyes, she could still be in contacts.

She needs to understand that her eye needs oxygen and that wearing contacts lowers the level of oxygen her eyes gets, add the the deposits on the contacts that the tears can't clean, and well you know you're answer.
Although if you are already wearing contacts, I think you should already know.
It's amazing that she can still stand contacts without cleaning them at all.
Book her an appointment with an eye doctor or ask your parents to take care of it, and try to find websites that show visual consequences of what can happen to your eye if you don't take care of it the right way, hopefully it will help bring some sense to her mind.
Last solution, is still her contacts if she takes them out (by miracle) and destroy them so she has to go to the eye doctor. A bit extreme, but it seems she is too.

Yes, she may possibly end up with a severe eye infection, and if it is bad enough, she could lose her eyesight. If she has calcium deposits, she needs to throw the contacts out. There are now contacts that can be worn for extended periods of time, but even those cannot be worn indefinitely. She is doing serious damage to her eyes.

She probably has an eye infection by now! Leaving your contacts in for that long is just gross. Mine are soft so if sleep with them in I might lose them behind my eyes. Disturbing thought I know. I don't know if you can sleep with hard ones in. What kind of contacts are they? Anyway, you should put in a new pair every 3-4 weeks and take them out to clean them every once in a while.

She probably will end up with some sort of infection. Contacts were not made to be worn for years at a time, you and I both know that. I guess since she refuses to listen to reason, she'll just have to learn her lesson the hard (and painful) way...

If she refuses to take them out 1 of two things will happen, they will become stuck to her eye, and she will damage most likely permenantly trying to remove them. Or not only will her eyes get infected, but long running infections also lead to a gambat of other illness related to it. She could end up blind in either cases. Tell her to stop being lazy and help her self or let her figure it out after the fact and give her a big fat told you so!

Sounds like she probably has a problem already. You are suppose to follow instructions from her doctor and package insert. Playing with your eye health is serious. She may end up being blind or if she gets a bad infection being so close to the brain it could give her a brain infection[which is hard to treat] and could possibly die from that. Doesn't she want to see her future husband, children and grandchildren? There's all kind of trouble there with this one.

What can you do?
You've talked to her...She doesn't listen to you. Also, she knows the consequences.
What may happen is she'll get an infection and her eyes may end up being too sensitive to wear contacts.
If you're twins, we can tell you apart now. She'll be the sister wearing glasses with the bloodshot eyes.

The eye is a vacuum. It sucks in oxygen to function properly. Contact lenses close that hole so oxygen does not enter the eye.
This could cause severe problems such as cataracts and so many more. There are contacts that are available that have microscopic pores so that the eye could "breathe". They can be left in during sleep.

Unless they're the ones you can sleep in they should be taken out every night. Odds are if she doesn't take better care, she'll get an eye infection.
