When I was a King in a past life, I did ask my Spiritual advisers to study this belief. After much Deliberation they said, it was not true. So, I believed them and now I have returned a poor man in life. Dang, advisers, well they got what they deserved. They all came back as Toilets.

What Hope for the Dead?
Many spiritists believe in reincarnation. One spiritist publication states: “Reincarnation is the only doctrine that measures up to our idea of divine justice; it is the only doctrine that can explain the future and strengthen our hopes.” Spiritists explain that at death the soul, or “incarnated spirit,” leaves the body—like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. They believe that these spirits are later reincarnated as humans in order to purge sins committed in an earlier life. But there is no recollection of those earlier sins. “God considered it convenient that a veil be cast over the past,” says The Gospel According to Spiritism.
“To deny reincarnation is also to deny the words of Christ,” wrote Allan Kardec. However, Jesus never uttered the word “reincarnation” and never mentioned such a concept. Rather, Jesus taught the resurrection of the dead.
The Bible does not teach that humans have an immortal soul that lives as an independent entity, separate from the body. According to the Scriptures, the soul dies, and death marks the end of all thought and activity. (Numbers 23:10; 35:11; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10) This clearly rules out the New Age concept of reincarnation.

Note: many people make the mistake of thinking that Buddhism supports reincarnation because of the stuff with tibetan buddhism (which incorporated local religions) and the incorporation of ancestor worship in some areas (in addition, Buddha's enlightenment story has references to his 'past lives' but this is from the perspective of non-duality). Buddhism teaches rebirth, which is VERY different and is meant to get across the eternal nature of life while, at the same time, getting across non-duality (lack of an individual self). Reincarnation is based on the idea of an individual self (atman).
Given that, reincarnation is a good concept -- like all concepts, it doesn't represent ultimate truth. But if it's used to get across the eternal nature of life, then it's helpful -- and needs to be used to get to the same experience that the buddha had.

I'm Christian. As a whole, the Christian religion does not believe in reincarnation. I don't believe in it conclusively, but I DO believe in the possibility of it. It doesn't make much sense to me why a loving God would put us here on this earth, to go through this only once. I tend to feel we have to keep coming back until our soul has attained the certain knowlege He wants us to learn.....then and only then do we go to Heaven to stay. I don't believe we, as humans, will ever live a life as an animal, etc. Humans have souls and animals don't. However, God does things in His own way, and His motives and methods are not clear to us. So that may not be right. All we can do is decide what seems right and plausable to us.

Druids believe in it. It's probably not the same aspect as the Hindu or Buddhist way of looking at it, but it is a form of reincarnation. We believe that when something dies it's spirit is rejoined as one with the spiritual force within nature, becoming one with the essence (so to speak) of the world. The spirit remains one with that force until eventually the Gods and Goddesses decide there is a use for it back within the mortal realm.

I believe in it...sure. Makes sense to me...
But I have to wonder, where do all the 'new' souls come from? Is it really 'all living things' like the buddhists believe? or is this something that's just centered on homosapiens?
Ever read Dr. Brian Weiss? (a psychologist that asked a patient under hypnosis to go back to where the trouble started...and she did....400 years before)

Yes I believe. After all when we die we just lose our visible physical bodies. What we really are which is energy does not just disappear. Its entirely plausible that we come back in a different form. Maybe your circumstances each time are dictated by how you conducted yourself in the previous life.

I believe in it too. There are so many cases of things that cannot be explained any other way; it has been almost scientifically proven, but not quite.

Reincarnation just doesn't make sense. There's no mechanism for it. Get back in touch with reality.
