Cool Veggie Christmas Tree

2 packages crescent rolls (not unrolled)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 clove of garlic, pressed
1 tsp Pantry All-Purpose Dill Mix
1 large crown of Broccoli, chopped fine
2 tsp Parmesan cheese, grated
1 carrot scored and sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
About 10 cherry tomatoes, smaller
2 green onions
Sliced black olives

Take crescents from package and separate into 4 rolls. Each of the 4 rolls needs to be sliced into 8 circles so you’ll have what looks like 32 mini cinnamon rolls. Start about an inch from the top (in the center) of your Stoneware Bar Pan, Rectangle Stone or large Round Stone, with your first crescent circle, then place two below it, then three, etc until you have 7 circles across. Then you place 2 centered beneath the 7 and 2 more beneath that. This is your tree trunk. Roll with your Baker’s Roller to smooth it out and press them together.

Bake at 350 oven for 10-12 min until browned. Let cool. Mix mayonnaise, cream cheese, garlic and dill mix, then spread on cooled tree. Top with chopped broccoli to make it green. Then add your yellow pepper as garland. Add your ornaments (carrots, green onion, and tomatoes). Next add your snow, the parmesan cheese. Then you can take a large piece of cut carrot and put it at the top of your tree or you can get a small star cookie cutter and cut out a piece of your yellow pepper.

Candy Cane Coffee Cake
Ingredients:
Coffee Cake

1 pouch (16 ounces) Pantry Pizza Crust & Roll Mix (including yeast packet) or
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup very warm milk (120°F-130°F)
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
3/4 cup dried fruit morsel blend (such as dried cranberries, apples and cherries)
1/2 cup cherry preserves
1 tablespoon water

Glaze

3/4 cup powdered sugar
2-3 teaspoons milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F. For coffee cake, combine pizza crust & roll mix, yeast packet and granulated sugar in Classic Batter Bowl. Using Egg Separator, separate 1 egg white from yolk; reserve white. Add milk, butter, whole egg and egg yolk to batter bowl. Stir until mixture forms a ball.

Turn dough out onto well-floured surface. With floured hands, knead dough 5 minutes. Sprinkle additional flour over surface as needed to reduce stickiness. Cover; let dough rest 5 minutes.

Chop pecans with Food Chopper; combine with fruit morsels in Small Batter Bowl. Place dough in center of lightly floured Rectangle Stone; roll into 12 x 15-inch rectangle with lightly floured Baker's Roller(TM). Using Skinny Scraper, spread preserves in 6-inch strip lengthwise down center of dough to within 1/4 inch of each end; sprinkle fruit mixture evenly over preserves.

Cut 1-inch-wide strips on each side of fruit filling to within 1/2 inch of filling. Lift strips of dough across filling to meet in center, twisting each strip one turn; pinch together in center to seal. Tuck ends up to seal. Lift and stretch one end of shaped dough using lightly floured Large Serving Spatula; curve to form cane. Cover; let rise in warm place 30 minutes.

Lightly beat reserved egg white with 1 tablespoon water; brush over dough using Pastry Brush. Bake 20-23 minutes or until deep golden brown.

For glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over warm coffee cake. Cool 15 minutes. Cut into 1-inch slices using Serrated Bread Knife.

Cook's Tips: One 16-ounce package of hot roll mix can be substituted for the Pizza Crust & Roll Mix, if desired.

Lightly spray biscuits with oil: press garlic over biscuits; spread evenly.

Chop tomato, green pepper and onion; sprinkle evenly over biscuits along with oregano and basil.

A really easy and cute idea is to make a simple sugar cookie batter, divide it into half. Dye one half red. Take some of the red cookie batter and roll into a long strand about 5 or 6 inches long. Do the same with the regular colored batter. Twist the 2 colors togethr like a rope and curve it at the end...bake it for however long the recipe calls for and you end up with fun and decorative candy cane cookies.....you can also crush some pepper mints and sprinkle them ontop if you would like.

Bake some cupcakes and frost with any flavor white icing. Then take a sugar cone and cut it to where the cone part is about 2 inches long. Put a cone tip down onto the top of each of the cupcakes. Use one of those squeeze cans of green frosting to make the cones into little christmas trees. sprinkle on some multi-colored sprinkles to look like mini ornaments. too cute!!!

Peanut Butter Christmas Mice

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes), softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup peanut halves
2 tablespoons green and red M&M miniature baking bits
4 teaspoons miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Cake decorator holly leaf and berry candies
60 to 66 pieces red shoestring licorice (2 inches each)

In a large mixing bowl, cream peanut butter, butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
Roll into 1-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Pinch each ball at one end to taper. Insert two peanut halves in center of each ball for ears. Add one M&M baking bit for nose and two chocolate chips for eyes. Arrange holly and berry candies in front of one ear.
Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until set. Gently insert one licorice piece into each warm cookie for tail. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Yield: about 5 dozen.
These are from the Taste of Home magazine. I made them a couple of years ago and they were very cute and fun! If you can't find the holly leaf and berry things, (which I couldn't) they usually have some kind of cute holiday/sprinkles/baking decorations that work!
