Well, first question is are you supposed to eat low fat cottage cheese or regular cottage cheese? There is a BIG difference in taste and texture between the two. Personally I prefer regular cottage cheese, large curd, with a little salt and pepper. It's really good with tomato wedges in it too. In regular cottage cheese you have your choice of large or small curd so it just depends on how much texture you want.

If you have to go the low fat route then there's only one curd to choose from to my knowledge and it's a very bland taste. One great way to add a little "zing" is to put about a tsp of low fat/low cal ranch in it to add some flavor. Throw in a few tomato wedges and wah-lah, pretty tasty stuff!

I'm a milk HATER and normally anything that reminds me of milk (or especially SOUR milk) is a big "don't" but once I tried cottage cheese I was hooked. Doesn't taste or feel at all like getting a chunk of sour milk.

I love cottage cheese. Try it on crispbread. Try the different varieties - plain, with pineapple, with chives etc. Don't give up too soon. I love the texture and the taste!

I don't mind it. But I once heard someone say that they mixed cottage chesse with some flavored yogurt...such as straberry or peach yogurt. I tried it...its not so bad when you mix the two. It cuts down on the consitency of the cottage cheese.

i hated cottage cheese when i first tried it. then after a while it grew on me. i prefer the small curd. i like to eat it with fruit, especially pineapple or peaches. then of course u can use it in pastas such as lasagna. then there's a fruit salad that i like to make with it. turns out really good. u just have to mix things and and keep with what u like. acquire a taste for it :)

great question. I think cottage cheese is the most disgusting thing ever created. it makes me gag just mentioning it. the wet curdled look sends shivers up my spine. But I knew a girl who make peanut butter and jelley and cottage cheese sandwiches. Needless to say I didnt even want to kiss her afterwards

Well, it can be a bit unappealing at first. I wouldn't recommend eating it just by itself. Definitely try it with some peaches or mandarin oranges or pineapple chunks. Also: I HIGHLY recommend only one brand name: Breakstone's 2% Milkfat small curd kind. It's the very best quality in my opinion!

i love it, try my favorite which is brown wholemeal bread, ham slices and cottage cheese in the middle so the bread doesnt go soggy! its fantasctic. also make sure you get the expensive farm ones not the cheap ones cos they are too watery, it should be like soft cheese and tasty!
