Not always the literal translation, but the meaning of "Hello."
There is not one word that can answer this question. Because in different languages, the words do not always mean exactly the same thing, they give a different feeling. Hello is probably the best choice, because in most languages there is a greeting for when you either see people you know, or meet people for the first time. So this could be used even in very primative languages.
It is probably the most simple word, used to just acknowledge the other person, and to engage in conversation.

It isn't "I" because a lot of languages drop their subjects. Not "the" because a lot of lang. don't have it. Too many ways of saying Hi bye and ok. Lots of cultures don't use love very often wither. my guess would be something like "and"

i think it's "hi" because for example here in germany you also say hi instead of hallo. and everywhere i've been they knew the hi
