My wife used her grandmothers, it was a sod digging her up, but she did look great in it.
Maybe you could order one from a catalogue and then say you never received it, or buy one from Marks or Debenhams and get your mum to take it back the day after the wedding, just don´t spill mayonaise or red wine on it.....

I don't know how cheap you are talking but you can try David's Bridal they have a nice selection for $99. Or you can try some department stores like Carson Pierre Scott or Macy's, they have fancy dresses that look like wedding dresses a lot of times. Good luck!

Check out this book: Bridal Bargains. They have a list of places and websites from which to get inexpensive wedding dresses.
Also, try eBay. People sell their dresses on there all the time!
Same for the classifieds.

Hi!\
You did not say where your wedding is to be or what time of year .... and the only thing I see not mentioned in all the answers so far is: a Mexican
Wedding Dress ... they are made of white cotton with all sorts of pretty pin tucks, gathers, lace, etc. and a loose fit, an A-line in fact Don't think of one if the weather is not warm where you are getting married.

Try Ebay. There are some seamstresses overseas that will make the dress according to your measurements for very inexpensive prices. However, it normally takes forever for it to arrive since it's coming from over seas and it will arrive very wrinkled. But I guess you could always have it steam pressed to release the wrinkles... congratulations on your wedding!

I guess from a charity shop or Ebay as already suggested. Or look in your local free papers, people often sell them in there. Failing that ask around your family and friends, often people have them in the back of the wardrobe and dont think about selling them, I have done that, keep meaning to do something about it but never got round to it!
Good luck!

You can get a used one on Craigslist. Or Davids Bridal has a $99 sale every now and then. Remember, you get what you pay for.
