By eating, breathing, drinking water, and having shelter. Very much the same way that you survive. And being loved doesn't hurt them at all!

I HAVE A 7LB CHIHUAHUA AND, 200 LB MASTIFF, & 8 - 14 LB+
CATS. MY CHIHUAHUA IS MEANER THEN ALL OF THEM PUT TOGETHER AND HE RULES THE ROOST. I HAVE SEEN HIM CHARGE A 50 LB PEACOCK AS WELL AS OTHER LARGER ANIMALS. THE PLAIN TRUTH IS THEY ARE NOT AFFRAID OF ANYTHING OR ANYONE.

chihuahua originate in mexico where it's warm and the lack of fur and small body help keep them cool. when kept as pets in colder climates, unless kept in the home during the winter, they won't survive.
