What did you name your kids?

Did you name them that for a special reason?

Mine are Emily Anala(call her Emmie)
Jaden Madhav
Deven Tyler

Anala and Madhav are Indian,which my husband is half. Deven in Hindi means "like a god" and Tyler is Tiler which was what Jesus was(carpenter) Im not Christian but It makes great sense and Deven is actually an angel in Heaven now. So, its just perfect :)

Our first born is Ryan Nickolas and second is Emily Grace ( a SIDS angel in heaven now) we are now pregnant again with our 3rd and we like the name Jada Grace, Jada Lynn, and Hannah. We haven't been able to come up with a lot of boys names. We decided not to name our babies after any one because we didn't
t want hard feeling so we just went with what we thought sounded right for that child.

My son's name is Jacob Martin. I have always loved the name Jacob and Martin is my husbands middle name, and also my son's great grandfathers name.

My nieces names are Stephanie Elizabeth, Brittanie Alise, Tiffanie Alyssa, Cortanie Alexandra,Kristanie Alexis, Alyssa Marie, Ashley Brianna, Allison Rose, Jeannie Nicole.

My nephews names are Adam Gregory, Austin James, John Francis, Jason Matthew, James Michael.

Ariana Rebecca - got ariana from a woman on tv who was gorgeous, well spoken, and had a beautiful accent. didn't mean to use it but we fell in love with the name. Rebecca after my great grandmother who died shortly before my daughter was concieved...she was an amazing woman and if Ari is half the woman she was I will be proud as can be.

Our first son will have Timothy as either his first or middle name. Haven't though much about it as we're not planning on having another child for awhile. My hubby's father died of early onset alzheimer's when I was 5 month's pregnant with Ari. He was a wonderful man and this world has lost much with his passing.

PS The Hero and the Crown is an awesome book! It was one of my favorites as a teen too!!

:p can't say i have a kid yet, but assuming i have a couple someday, i have my heart set on naming a girl Aerin. When I was in the sixth grade (man, that was long ago... I'm in college now.) i read a book by Robin McKinley (The Hero and the Crown) that became my favorite book. the female protagonist was someone I looked up to and admired a good deal, and I liked how her name sounded normal, but was written differently. And it would be neat for my child to one day read this book and think, "Hey. She has my name, too!"

My frist child was Evangaline Paz because Evangaline means angel and Paz of course is peace she doesn live up to the name but i just thought it sounds pretty together. My next one is going to be Aaralyn Divinity this is because my friend Aaron died almost 2 years ago and i thought it would be a nice way to remember him Divinity because i believe he is in heaven and to many people its divine so i choose divinity.

Our son was named Devon Alexander ~ Devon because hubby liked it and I was so sick of the name game I agreed to it. Alexander was after me.

Our daughter is Aliya Gabrielle ~ Both names were just picked from a baby book and we both fell in love with them.

I named my son Kaleb because I knew a boy named Kaleb as a child and who had died when he was 5. I never intended to name my son after him, in fact his dad and I selected the name Jesse. But, I just kept thinking about Kaleb and when my son was born I looked at him and was like, he's a Kaleb.

Ethan Thomas for my 1st son.Ethan was just a cute name and Thomas is his daddy's middle name too.
I am 29 weeks pregnant with my 2nd son and his name will be Logan Robert. Again-Logan is just cute and Robert is after my dad's name. I like family names for the middle name.
