More and more frequently, the British Army is subject to investigation for various reasons. From a fatal shooting of a terrorist to a basic theft, however it is the Army itself that does the investigating. Should this be the case?

As an ex soldier, I can say yes the army does investigate itself if it is an offence commited under Army law. any offence in the army which is serious enough is investigated by the army provost corps. this is the equivelent of scotland yard in civvy street. They are top class investigators. Army justice is very fair.

Of course we bloody can, I have had a dozen men shot for deserting their posts in the last week alone. Granted some said they were going to the latrine. However that's no excuse in her majesty's army.
