so far have thought of signed irish rugby shirt, signed northern ireland top and thinking a gaa top as well. what are other possibilities?

If you can get a male and a female celebrity get them to sell kisses and/or autographs for 50p a time. I'd pay 50p to snog Carol Vorderman. Only tuppence for Vera Duckworth though. For Nicole Kidman I'll give you my cashcard and the pin number.

i used to go to an auction in norfolk england, town called east dereham, they auctioned everything and anything.ot might have been a rusty old byke wheel, he would start the bidding at say 50p
two bidders would struggle betwenn themselves, it would go for about2£ Get a range of diff prices and some toys so kids can bid.

Try and keep it simple, plenty of things the local people would want.
Try asking local business's or celebrities for donations of items that can be used.

are you in the north of ireland, well if you are see if any of your workmates have any of the george best fivers hidden away. get them and auction them off. my missus got two one for her son one for her nephew. commemeration wallet with the fivers are worth more. ebay was selling 10 fivers for 80 quid!!

-give food / shelter to a group of homeless / those in need and have them refinish donated furniture. sell the furniture.
