You can only get HIV from another person who has HIV. You CANNOT get it from malaria. The only ways you can get HIV is through sexual contact, blood, and breast milk. I'm sure you're past the breast milk stage, though! Oh yes, and children can get it from their mothers' before the born, when they're still in the womb. They have a 25% chance of getting it, I believe. So all you have to worry about is blood and sexual contact, huh?

malaria and HIV are two seperate retroviruses. Aids doesnt arise until the T lymphocyte level drops below 200. you cant get HIV or aids from malaria. the person would have already had to have had the virus.
