Bad answers so far. Guys are slobs and if all they have are dirty socks on the floor, they'll pick up a pair and wear them!
Stand next to your husband, point to some socks and say, "Please pick those up for me." When he does, drop down and give him oral pleasure. When you're done, tell him that will happen every so often when he picks up his clothes off the floor. I guarantee you that he'll pick them up every day!

It would depend on his tolerance level of how you are asking him. At my house, we have a RULES list that is on the fridge that tells people up front that if they do not follow the rules, they are not allowed over our house.
My roommate and I hate it when our boyfriends leave the toilet seat up in the bathroom. So, we both do the exact same thing when they do it - we stand outside the bathroom door, point at the toilet, yell their name and stamp our feet until they go and fix it. If they are being stubborn about it, they don't get dinner, TV, games, or anything else until they do it, and they are also told to pee outside. It's childish, but it works. The guys are actually embarressed now when they forget to put the seat down, and don't grumble about it nearly as much.
BTW - between all of us, we are 27-31 years old. But it works.

He sounds like a slob. I'd dump him. No woman needs to be picking up after anyone, let alone a Man.

Ask a cute neighbour to help you with laundry and have coffee with him. No more socks to be found after.

pick em up and shove them in his pillowcase or let them lay there and don't do them when you wash and he will learn fast to p/u. We men can be trained easily if we know there are ramification to our actions

Dont' pick them up no matter what and don't wash them. He will run out and then he'll get the message.
