Well hijab is a best thing for women that is my believe and we can't make them understand wht is its significance but yes we do know it how worthy it is for us.

And about objections...so actualy its not hijab that is bothering them.its islam which is pinching their nerves..so anything related to islam is being picked wildly and bashed......I m sure if muslim ladies stop wearing hijab they will raise a question "Why muslim ladies don't wear a hijab, why their men don't allow them for that and its a violation to their rights ,and they are suppresed by keeping their head nacked"..........Umm i can bet on that !!!!

Some Muslim women cover their heads and wear the hijab and others do not. Most women that wear hijab choose to wear it on their own. I have asked them and their answer is that they feel like it is the right thing to do. I do not know why they are condemned for it but catholic nuns are not!
Also, in all the nativity scenes Mary's head is always covered!

I understand your reasoning for wearing your head covering, and that is all well and good amongst those with the same mind set.

But what offends me is when a non-western religious mentality does not consider the rest of the "World" as you are mentioning.

Those of us that live in a civilized western society are not carried away with uncontrollable lustful thoughts when we see a women's hair or arms.

It offends me for a Muslim woman to think that I am going to get all hot and bothered if I see her hair or arms or feet!

As a matter of fact, I can appreciate the beauty of all God's creation with an honorable heart when I see a beautiful woman or a beautiful sunset!

I think that people who differ from American western culture and want to live amongst us should have respect and adapt to fit in.

But really, as far as being suppressive, which of these two groups of women reflect the light of the Spirit of God from above?

These Muslim Women?

Yes they do look rather suppressive, but what you need to know is that underneath that hijab are women who do not hold back. They wear their hijab because that is what they truly believe in their heart. Just like you believe in wearing what you wear. I personally don't wear it because it hinders me in movement; however, that is my choice. I made that decision knowing what the repercussions are and I can handle those.

even with the truth that i did not see the question and answer you're referring too i'm vulnerable to respond to this one sister. The eyebrows are highly suggested in hadeeth saheeh as no longer permissible to pluck....higher lip hair isn't suggested. The hadeeth (and there is more beneficial than one)that announces to no longer pluck the eyebrows does no longer say, 'do not achieve this as a results of the undeniable fact that's the way you're meant to look'. in any case, maximum scholars say if a lady has 'freaky' (my note lol) eyebrows it truly is permissible to tame them (i'm no longer attempting to situation a fatwa the following only telling what I really have study from countless scholars on the placement). maximum scholars also say it truly is permissible to get rid of that hair it really is in between the brows (that hair that creates a uni forehead). both issues, eyebrows and higher lip hair are 2 separate subject matters. may Allah reward you with good.

To most of the world, it is repressive. To them, it is a sign of respect to God. Much like Christian women used to wear a hat in church all of the time. God loves all, but it sure gets fuzzy when they are asked to love Him back. Merry Christmas.
