All you can do is be patient. Children usually don't have a long attention span until about 3 years old. That's what I've been told by the pediatrician. My daughter's about 26 months old and she has no attention span. She won't let me read her a book usually for longer than 2 minutes lol and she won't sit and do anything for longer than that at a time. She's constantly on the go and don't like to sit still. Eventually they will like to sit still and be read to, be patient and it will happen.

If she is a mature 10 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous then there could be no harm. There are some extra mature scenes, yet i would not describe them as too concentrated. you will see extra beneficial than that on a television prepare each and every nighttime. There are 2 "love" scenes yet no information, merely an evidence of emotions the day after. My 11 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous daughter study it and she or he did no longer think of that's replaced into too mature for her.

have you tried books with the story on CD as well? My kids love them and are now into the habit of "reading" books on their own (pop a CD and look at the book at the same time, turn the page as the story unfold - the drawing and music helps). My kids LOVE them and it might help getting your back into reading.
Another one is Leapfrog system! it's designed for older kids but I got 1 for my kid when they were 2 and 3 and again, they love it.
Good luck

Just keep introducing it. You may not actually get through a whole book for another year but even just sitting and reading a couple pages is encouraging early appreciation for literacy. Simple rhymes and characters they recognize might keep their attention for longer. And make sure your children see you read for your own entertainment, too. Your children will grow to do what they see you do.

The behavior your little ones show is so normal. And look at it this way: You are reading together. It just isn't you doing the reading. Encourage them, ask them questions, point to pictures telling them what they represent and they are learning a whole lot more then when you "force" them into sitting down and listening to you. Interacting this way shows you their beautiful, wonderful, creative minds. Enjoy it.

They are 2 yrs, 3 months, they are young, curious, energetic and learning. Try giving them another book to hold, etc. while you are reading. Ask them to shush, be quiet please. Read for short periods of time and build up the time.

You can't make them enjoy reading. They either do or they don't. Just let them pretend to read and turn the pages--it may not be fun for you, but they certainly seem to enjoy it.

They are enjoying the reading, although fustrated to you, fun to them. When they get older they will sit and listen or maybe even read to you.

all my kids did the same...do not worry and do not force it...leave books all around the house and they will pick them up and pretend to read on thier own....then they will ask you to read to them...do not fret...
