Hey Dad - does smoking kill?

oooppss I forgot he died a few years back from LUNG CANCER due to SMOKING. Horrible death to witness, would you like some photos of a very sick cancer ridden man that only weighed 120 lbs at death? Ribs and backbone clearly showing, tiny little stick legs, etc. He looked like a skeleton with skin stretched over it. He lost almost 200 lbs before he died from LUNG CANCER....but he loved those Camel cigarettes. Oh yea the chemo makes you really sick and bald...and the puking...well it was only filled with blood from his lungs. He had no strength either, he couldn't even walk to his own mailbox. Of course the oxygen tank was hard to drag around, so I guess walking was out of the question anyway. I still have nightmares of his last few days, the horrible gasping for air....he only had 1/10 of his lungs left that functioned. He died with his mouth wide open and eyes bulging...trying to get just one small breath of oxygen into his lungs.

Do people really die from smoking? YES.

No, you don't die from smoking. You die from the problems smoking can cause. Smoking can cause lung, throat, and mouth cancer, chronic Bronchitis, emphysema and possibly more. Not everyone who smokes will develop these problems, however it still is not a good idea to start smoking. Also there is no safe cigarette low nicotine and low tar cigarettes are just as harmful as regular ones.

Yeah, i heard this story bout this guy who was in hospital with lung cancer caused by smoking and the doctors told him he had to give it up. But he just had to have a smoke so he was smoking out of his window when he leaned too far and fell to his death.
Beware - smoking kills.

It depends on individual lifestyles. I've known people who've died because of lung cancer after quitting smoking for 10 years or more and I've known people who kept smoking till the day they died of natural causes.

Yes, and you are more likely to get heart disease before you get lung cancer. Cigarettes have the same ingredient as rat poison in them. Why are they legal?

Yeah. People get confused becuase smoking doesn't only cause lung cancer. It also causes heart disease, which kills a lot of people too.
