And how about the VAST majority of them who are God haters and AGAINST the Bible? What's that question got to do with YOUR tolerance, btw?

You may or may not be tolerant, but, for sure you are mis-informed. I've heard no serious politician say the the bible should be part of the judicial system but rather that it should be recognized that many of the values and moral of the Bible are the basis for our law and to do otherwise is to gut the legal system of its heritage.
Likewise, I haven't heard any serious politician say that the story of christianity should be taught in public schools. Rather, some have suggested that mention of the theory of intelligent design should be included with the theory of evolution and/or the theory of the Big Bang. It is disingenuous to call evolution or the Big Bang 'fact' when they are not provable by scientific standards, or even legal standards.
Perhaps you should work on resolving your irrational fear of christianity and lose the hatred for those who wish you no harm.

Um... well the bringing it all into every aspect of the judicial system goes against the constetution, but I think it should be taught to the youth. The bible stories teach good morals. And some of the kids now days NEED those morals.

I think it's bogus. It's the hardest thing to run for a polotician unless your a christian, and all they want to do is make christianity the dominant religion of this country, but it was FOUNDED on pilgrems trying to excape RELIGIOUSE prosicution. So why not other religions. America isn't just a melting pot of races, but beliefs and religion too.
It's not about believing, I am christian raised, but I'm not going to force non-christians to swallow my teachings. That's not my call.
Toad_Stool - teaching about christianity in school would be okay, if they incorperated all religions. Not preaching, just TEACHING!!
I don't think they should teach the bible stories, they should focus on the origin.
And the morals, thats what parents should be teaching their kids, not the bible, or a teacher. The parents should have an avid role in their childs life.

it is tolerance that has gotten us into so much trouble today. we tolerate child abuse because we say it is none of our business but it sure matters to the child...we tolerate abortion but no one is able to make the "feeling" go away after the fact... we tolerate other people in their differences and now we have "i belong to this gang, this group, this way of life" but tell me, how many Christians do you read about that commit murder or start gangs or change the laws that have been around since the beginning of time like same sex marriage. take for instance the "natural", how many animals do you see "preferring" their same kind? only the human race, why? because we have free will. but hey that's tolerance for you. and if you are claiming to be tolerant, why do you care if we have prayer in schools or the judicial system? it seems to me that you are not to tolerant after all.

Didn't you get the memo? Anyone who follows a different path than Christianity and has the nerve to say so is intolerant.

I like you...your questions and answers make me smile.
I do not think you are intolerant. I think that those who bash you are intolerant because they are scared of the fact that there are people out there, like you and me, who have a mind of their own and don't blindly follow organized religion.
