Many trees send out roots that can form another tree (e.g. quaking aspen). Also, if a branch or leaf falls to the ground, under certain conditions, it may sprout another tree. This may be done by a human puposefully in a process know as grafting or cloning.

Because it is sterile, it can't reproduce by producing pollen or seeds. It can reproduce asexually, however. Plants can do this by rooting (a branch hangs low enough to the ground to root. Once it roots, the branch breaks from the parent tree and starts life on its own).

You can take a cutting off of certain trees, dip them in rooting hormone and place them in the soil. Roots form, and you have a clone.
