That is a terrific question.

My answer: "No"

And while I am a profound proponent of the Establishment Clause of our beloved Constitution...

There was a time in this country when there was no Constitution and the laws we had were based on something.

Whether or not you agree (history proves it) - those laws were based on something. And that something was the Bible.

Every office-holder in this country, from George Washington forward, has sworn his/her oath on the Bible.

What Keith Ellison has done is just another indication of our eroding standards in this great land.

I am appalled, frankly.

Yes it does! It is more like poetry and not in a sequence because Muslims believe that it is the way it came from God and no man has revised it. But to answer your question it has so called biblical stories, God, creation, Adam and Eve, Moses, Jesus, birth of Jesus, concept of heaven and hell, ten commandments, the day of judgment many of things like the the old testament!

What are 'American vlaues'? Equality? Freedom? Democracy? Diversity? Respect? Hard work? What else? All these and more are the vlaues of Islam. People who negate this fact; have you read the Quran? Have you studied the Sunnah? I guess we leave our brains to be washed by the media and build beliefs on 'cartoons in newspapers'. Study Islam before you judge.

Peace

I know that it does. I would say that not all Torah, or Muslim law fits into American society, but the basic values are generally the same.
