John Lennon's "Imagine" said if we get rid of religion, there would be no more fighting, no more war. But I think he took it a step to far.

It's fine to believe in what you want, but why do we try to force others to believe in what we believe? Is it because we think it's our job to save everyone, or is it because we want everyone to act the way we do? With or without religion, as long as we all have different DNA, we will act differently. So accept it and move on. Worry about yourself and your own actions, and your own relationship with God!

People make decisions based on what they believe. Some people help the orphans, widows, etc. and keep self from sinful living because that is what they believe is pure religion before God.

Some people kill others just because others don't believe as they do. It is rooted in self righteousness. Judging others as inferior.

You raise a good question. BUT, coming at this from a Christian perspective - we are told to spread the gospel. We are created for God's purpose and one of those purposes is to spread the gospel and evangelize!
