2. New Year's Day preceded Christmas EVERY year as New Year's Day is January 1 of that year, so the last year was 2006.

1. If the woman is a widow, then that means that her husband is dead...so if a woman WANTS to marry a DEAD man, then more power to her...
2. New Year's never precede's Christmas...it always comes BEFORE Christmas does.
