a better idea is baking soda, or a scented carpet freshener sprinkle.

The cat may be put off by the scent of the powder, and it's not absorbent enough for the litter box, you'll have a box smelling like cat poo and baby powder, nauseating.

No, don't use baby powder for that, use baking soda for the bottom of a cat box. You may end up just throwing the baby powder away.

You'd be better off using a box of baking soda, the powder may be harmful, as powder containing talc instead of corn starch causes cancer in humans.

Have you tried Fresh Step litter ? You don't need any additional products, it contains carbon that is extremely effective in controlling odors. Also, you need to remove the waste as soon as possible, and that helps with the odor, too.

That litter box doesnt need that find other options for that like putting on the bed after you change the sheets or something but not in your litter box for the cat , you can also put it in the shoes just to make them smell good in case they dont, in your nite clothes drawer ?

I use Arm 'n' Hammer Cat Litterbox Deodorizer. It works very well and contains baking soda.

You can get it at the supermarket. I don't know about baby powder...

Baking soda works too! Just sprinkle some in the cat box.

It is not safe. Use baking soda. You should use the powder on your son. Helps keep him comfy and prevents chafing. Maybe donate the unused product to your local church. Plenty of needy people.

Baking soda maybe, baby powder no.

Try sifting the box every day. If you have several cats, sift several times a day..........
