Coffee contains caffeine which is acidic and irritates the young skin. If you need to drink coffee, use a decaffeinated kind for 2 days. After 2 days, the young skin forming under the blood clot is strong enough that it will tolerate the acid content in the coffee.

Best wishes.

You certainly want to wait until you are no longer numb. As long as it's not scalding, you should be fine. Stay away from straws and smoking while you are healing. The pulling motions can dislodge the blood clot and expose the bone creating a dull, throbbing pain called a 'dry socket'. If you get one, you need to see your dentist to have it treated.
