the difference is how the product is cured and the quality of the meat - but yes - they are basically the same thing

Canadian Bacon is a ham. There are different types of ham, the way that they are processed, shaped, or left natural. Canadian bacon tends to be a dryer processed (deboned, cured, and shaped) ham that is shaped into a long loaf (round when cut).

I think they are the same. Canadian Bacon is just a fancy way of saying Ham. If you asked me if I wanted "Ham" Pizza, I would look at you funny, but Canadian Bacon is my fav!

Not really sure if they are because they taste the same and look the same. I like them both. I think that canadian bacon is like a small fillet of the meaty part of the bacon without all the fat as a ham slice/fillet has. I'm not sure, but that's my opinion. That's pretty much all I can think of. Good luck anyway on your question.

Back bacon is known as "Canadian bacon" in the United States, but not in Canada, where it is simply called back bacon, or peameal bacon. In Canada, "Canadian bacon" is traditionally unsmoked back bacon that has been sweet pickle-cured and coated in yellow cornmeal. This variation is also known as peameal bacon because in times past, a mixture of ground yellow peas was used for coating to improve curing and shelf-life. The "Canadian" bacon sold in the United States is plain lean back bacon.

They are both pork products, but they come from different sections of the pig.

Hams are from the top portion of the leg of the pig.

Canadian bacon is usually from the loin of pig.

Both are typically cured so they do have simlar texture and flavor.

I BELIEVE HAM IS SIMILAR TO CANADIAN BACON, BUT CANADIAN BACON IS USUALLY SLICED THINNER FOR BREAKFAST AND PIZZA, AS HAM IS USUALLY A BIT THICKER FOR SANDWICHES AND SUCH. GOOD QUESTION

The different is that once a sexy girl made a sandwich on my dirty sweaty body, with maos and pickles and she eat it. Feels sooo good. And that was ham not canada bacon
