I'm seeking an inexpensive subwoofer. I have looked at the MTX SW2 and the Velodyne VX-10. They are both about the same price. Which would you go with? My room is small so max spl is not an issue. I mainly listen to music though I do watch movies occasionally. I'm open to suggestions for brands I have not mentioned.

The Velodyne is better for music, but they both are pretty good for
movies.
I say, go with the Velodyne.
You can also try Polk Audio. Their subwoofers are pretty good
for music.

The ones you tried out are really good, but add the Velodyne VRP-1000, Polk Audio PSW-10, and the Paradigm PDR-10 to your audition list also. I have heard all of these and thought they were really good. However, I ended up buying the Paradigm.
