Schools make money out of putting the machines there. The soda companies get kids addicted to the drinks and will therefore be lifelong customers. Everybody wins apart from the kids.

Because the Soda producers like coka cola Pay the schools to put the machines there, so the kids get stuck on thier drink.

This is of course very unhealthy, but who cares about the kids health money rules in the corperate world.

Because of the revenue. Seriously, Coke and Pepsi pay the schools a HUGE percentage of revenue for allowing machines on campus. Same thing with schools that serve name-brand pizza or fast food. We don't fund our schools well enough so they have to subsidize. That's where Coke and Domino's are more than happy to oblige.

The schools make a profit from it. Only fruit juices and water should be in those machines. Our children are becoming obese. this sure doesn't help.
