You will already be wearing your engagement ring. Don't forget to put your engagement ring on your right hand before the ceremony. It will be placed over the glove. When the groom puts the ring on your finger, this too will go over the glove. It might sound weird but you will look stunning.

I've read the other answers, there's lots of good advice there, but I ask this: Why not just get rid of the gloves? To put the ring on over would mean it would need to be resized later and you couldn't wear it on your honeymoon :P
If you get the gloves that open the finger to put the ring on, how does the glove then fit again over the ring?
Here's another thought if you are dead set on gloves: Have two rings...aw, but then you are not taking your vows with the ring you will wear for eternity. Unless the over the glove ring is the long term ring that goes for resizing and a temp ring in brought in for the honeymoon....
Wow, this one's a toughy, its the very reason I went without gloves!!!
Good luck, I am very curios what you will decide to do!

The glove should have a flap in it so that it can be partially removed from the fingers for this purpose. OR, there are fingerless gloves for brides. Putting the ring on OVER the glove is silly. It wouldn't fit properly on the bride's finger if it was big enough to go on over a glove. Here are some examples of fingerless or otherwise specially made gloves for brides

The bride would remove the gloves and give them to the MOH to hold along with her bouquet. The MOH would hold on to the gloves until the ceremony was complete. If you don't want to remove the gloves, you can place the ring over the glove, but this may require you to have the ring sized a bit big and then resized after the ceremony.

You are going to love this....so I am planning my wedding and had the same question. There are evening gloves with buttonas at the wrist....undo the buttons and remove the hand part of the glove and slip it under the rest of the glove....this way you will be able to put on the ring and still maintain the elegance of the gloves. I just got my gloves in the mail yesterday and it worked perfectly. Best of Luck!

Either put the ring on over the glove or have the groom take the glove off before putting the ring on.

Wedding gloves are made with a little slit in the ring finger so the finger can be slipped out & the ring put on.
If you have purchased gloves that does not have this feature, remove a few of the stitches in the seam. It will be undetected.

The glove has to be taken off if it is full gloves. There are guantlets that leave your fingers out and there are ring fingerless gloves that allow you to slip only the ring finger out of the glove. The ring fingerless allows the wedding ring to show also. Another option is to put the ring on over the glove.

When I got married I took my gloves off just before the vows and handed them to my maid of honour with my boquet. The ring won't fit on over the gloves...and it's hard for you to put his ring on him while wearing gloves. If you are wearing long over the elbow gloves they should have a buttoned opening just below the wrist so you can get your hand out.
Good luck

1 of 2 things...either the ring goes on over the glove, or there are special gloves you can buy where you can pull your ring finger out to slip the ring on.
