I have been on Prozac for about 6 months now, and I am on 30 mg. My psychologist put me on Welbutrin about 2 months ago and I am now taking 200 mg of welbutrin. I feel much better now, and I have noticed that about 3 times a day I get an almost kinda buzz, and I just feel like everything is going to be alright and it is just such an amazing feeling. This buzz lasts for about an hour. Is this normal?? I have also recently quit abusing perscription narcotics (Hydrocoddone, percocet, oxycontin, etc.) Could it be my chemicals adjusting back to normal from quitting the drugs???? Or is it from the anti-depressants?? Please anyone with knowledge about this give me your feedback!!! Also I am a twenty year old female...please tell me your age as well... im sure age and sex changes the affects of the medicines.

Also, I was put on these medications due to severe depression and suicidal thoughts and behaviors.

I'm glad you're feeling better, but I would caution you to get a second opinion. It can be very dangerous to combine the effects of two similar, but slightly different anti-depressants. There is a risk of extreme mania and/or psychosis.
Your psychiatrist should be ensuring that you are having monthly blood work completed to look for any abnormalities, if this is not occurring, get a second opinion, and think about having the dose of one or both slightly lowered.

Please discuss with your doc or psych. Only they really know the answers to these questions. Work on your spiritual side, though, so you can fill that hole in your soul.
