Satin and Proven are good, but Dial soap can be just as effective. You can find the soaps on line, some pharmacies will have those products, but they do cost a bit more. For piercings, I say, stick with Dial (for my 26 piercings, it never cause me a single problem).Clean twice daily with soap and water, use a q-tip to remove build up.

As far as H2Ocean goes, I don't think its worth the cost for everyone. Its just saline. You can get more of the amount a lot cheaper if you buy non iodized sea salt and do soaks that way. The only pro to that is that it comes premixed and can be applied easier to the piercing. But if you take your homemade sea salt soak and put it in a spray bottle, you get the same thing.

For oral piercings use an alcohol and saccharin free mouthwash. Biotene is best.

Keep in mind the effectiveness of products will greatly vary from person to person and everyone has their own way of doing things. The general consensus of piercers is that though alcohol, Bactine, peroxide and other harsh cleaners have worked for some people, to be better safe than sorry...just use Dial soap and water and salt soaks. Those products are gentle and work for everyone when done correctly.

I have never used H2Ocean for a tattoo. Usually you can buy the tattoo goo or just pick up a tube of Aquaphor or A&D ointment and you'll get the same effect at a fraction of the cost. Usually the piercer or tattoo artist you go to will give you their tried and true advice, I suggest you take it or ask other PROFESSIONALS on what they think.

When I got my nosed pierced, I bought H2Ocean. I'm not really sure if it helped though. But it was just good to have, felt like I was cleaning it well. But I did get a minor infection on my piercing and I bought Provon, and that worked GREAT. It got rid of the infection by the next day. Whenever I have a problem with my piercing, I just use Provon and it's fine the day after. I bought mine at www.steelnavel.com.

I'VE NEVER USED H2Ocean FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN PIERCINGS...BUT IT MOST DEFINITELY KILLS ALL THE GERMS IF YOU USE IT AS DIRECTED...BACTINE ALSO WORKS

NEVER USE ALCOHOL FOR EITHER!!!
