I've been friends with this guy for almost 3 years. He, my best friend, & I all hungout together on a school trip to Spain. I really liked him from the get go & told my best friend I did. Later on that week, she told me that she liked him & he had told her he liked her. She was so anxious about how I felt about it. I decided that since we had known each other longer, I didn't care if she dated my crush. I told her that I wouldn't let a guy come between us & to go for it. They dated for about a month before calling it quits. We all still stayed friends though. A few months ago I realized that I was still crushing on him. When I told my best friend how I felt towards her ex, she freaked. She's dated several guys since him & it's been over 2 years, so I don't see what's wrong. She goes from not caring if I date him to acting like she doesn't want me to date him, & back & forth. I still haven't told him how I feel because I don't know how she really feels. I'm just upset & confused now.

It has also been brought to my attention that she has been screwing around with my ex-boyfriend.

No! Don't do that! You will hurt your friend even if she says she's over him.. it will really hurt her and she will feel like you have betrayed her!

Well.... it sounds like your friend may not be as mature and generous as you are. BUT of course, the guy that you passed on to her, you did that before you had dated him, which is a whole lot easier. I guess the thing you have to decide is whether it is worth it to risk your friendship. She doesn't sound like the perfect friend, but if she's got a lot of other good qualities, maybe you shouldn't take the chance. If you think you might be finding a new best friend in the near future, perhaps it is your turn to date the guy.

I would tell her to remember when u both liked him and u told her it would be ok if she dated him. tell her ur just gonna tell him how u feel and then if the feeling is mutual then I say go for it. U was a good enough friend to back away and let her date him why shouldn't she do the same.

Guys come and go, but friends are forever... or something like that. Don't let a guy come in between your friendship. Make sure it's going to be ok with her before you date her ex.

I would freak too, why? because it would put both your best friend and her ex in an uncomfortable situation.

When I was dating this guy, (whom I married and later divorced) his best friend had a thing for me. Nothing ever happened between us. But years after my divorce, I ran into my ex's best friend. He gave me an open invitation, but I never responded to it...Even though my ex has since remarried and has had a child...Dating my ex's best friend would put me, my ex and his wife in an awakward situation...And it seems to be an unwritten rule.
