What culture would that be? Are you native American? Our culture is the culture of mixed culture and as to turning our backs on our culture I'm pretty much living my life the same except for internal changes the Lord has made in me.

Hello?? The USA is NOTHING BUT FOREIGNERS who brought in their cultures from all over the World!

Its own ORIGINAL culture belongs to the 1,000 American Indian Nations that have since been wiped out, massacred, lied to and cheated by the White Man.

Which one do YOU belong to now??

Peace be with you.

Our culture has always been a mix of the cultures of those that have become citizens of this nation. No turning back, just assimilation, like the Borg. It's part of what makes this country so great.

America has always prided itself on being open to immigrants.

On the statue of liberty is says Give us your poor, your tired, your hungry.

In the past most immigrants were excited to come to America and seemed proud to become Americans.

But lately immigrants seem to be showing less willingness to leave their prior cultures behind. Too much of this can lead to division. Perhaps we need some questions on the applications for citizenship which would attempt to establish whether the applicant truly believes in what America stands for.

You are not too bright, are you?

What is american culture? Didn't we pretty much borrow everything from those who came here? Even the WASP's who first took this country away from the native americans, were from other countries.

Why is this question in religion and spirituality? I think I know why...because you want America to be homogenous.

Where are you from? The Culture of the USA is based off of the many cultures it consists of, that's why it's a "melting pot". It always has been. That is the whole purpose of the country. that's if you go west you'll Spanish influence. Louisiana has French, New England has Irish. other parts have have heavy German or English influence.

Good question. You should add to that ...and take over, because if they have not yet they will in the future if we just give into their vocal rantings.

It is nice to give a home to people who are persecuted and oppressed but they should not in turn percecute and oppress those who have taken them in.
