I use it for the swimming pool. Do you know how hard it is to put on underwear, pants, etc. on a somewhat wet child after getting out of the pool. You rub some baby powder on her butt and legs and the clothes slide right on!

I use vaseline on my 8 month old every time I change his diaper.
I only use powder on my baby's diaper area when he goes to church or when he's visiting family members. It smells good.
When your baby gets older, you may want to put a little powder down his shirt.
I love the way powder smells but I rarely use it for my baby.

I use it for the folds in his skin. After I bathe my son, I sprinkle a little in my hand. I take my finger and dip it in the powder and I rub it between the folds of his legs and I rub a little under the fold of his neck to keep him dry. It really helps and it avoids irritating rashes. If you decide to do this..be sure to just do a little dusting with it.. you dont want to use too much because then it will cake up and may cause irritation. Good Luck!
P.S I think at the rate of use...2 big Johnsons powder containers will last you untill he is 16 lol .....

The diaper cream keeps the moisture from his bum, that is what the powder will do. I use the powder on my son, and he is good. Every baby is different.

VASELINE is like a miracle cream for babies. I have 2 kids, and without vaseline i would never would have make it. Sometimes I put vaseline and toppered with the baby powder. Baby bowder absorbs moisture that way fungus wont create in the baby area, also vaseline is good to become a barrier between any doodo or pee, from the baby's irritate skin.

Use baby powder in the summer for sweat absorption to prevent heat rash... although I don't use baby powder. I blend equal parts cornstarch, arrowroot powder and white facial clay--no talc.
I've found that Desitin Creamy is probably the best ointment out there for diaper rash, in no small part because it is non-toxic and if your child decides that it tastes good you don't have to run screaming to the ER.

It's used to keep a baby dry and prevent diaper rash, but like your Dr. said sometimes it can make them too dry. I personally never used it. But the corn starch helps if he gets a diaper rash.

You can sprinkle it in your shoes, socks, slippers, etc.
Use it for yourself
use it in ashtrays, if you smoke (but smoke outside:)
Just as a side note, I print my 3rd son's birth announcement on the picture I took of him. The ink smeared all over until I sprinkled them with some powder...problem solved AND the announcements smelled like a little baby :)

I use it for myself as an after shower powder. My 3 year old daughter likes a sprinkle of it after her bath. I cover her in cream first, and she insists on powder on top of the cream. You can use it anywhere you need to get rid of odors. Sprinkle some on the floor before you vacuum, in shoes, gym bags, boots....
