That site you listed is such a joke. A real unbiased and reputable site....lol. About the only thing it really says is that the earth is 6,000 years old because the bible says so. That is the entire point, the bible is proved wrong, the earth is not 6,000 years old, there was never a world wide flood, and on and on and on. Using the bible as any kind of evidence or proof is ludicrious.

The Bible never said the earth is 6,000 years old. The earth could be millions of years old. The Genesis account of creation will not give you any indication of the age of our planet. The days of creation have nothing to do with the amount of time it took Jehovah to make the earth. Those "days" were immense time periods that God used to prepare the already-existing planet for human habitation. Just look and see in Gen. 1:2 that the earth was already in existence BEFORE the first "day" started. Before that, the earth could have been around for millions of years.

I'm sorry, but there is far more evidence that this planet Earth is far, far older than 6,000 years. It is billions of years old. In the time when the bible and it's books were written, very little was known about the planet or its origins, so the people of that time cannot be blamed for not recording accurate information about its age or beginnings. They simply wrote what they knew or believed they knew during that time period. In another millennium, who knows? We may have another entirely new perspective on this lovely blue ball in space that we call home.

The Bible is 6000 years old. The real earth is billions and billions of years old. The universe is beyond an age, there is no word to describe how old the universe is.
Please remember the bible is not a real tool to judge the age of the world. It was written back when people still thought the Earth was square.
And North America hadn't been discovered yet. So how old do you think those Indians think the Earth is?

Frank, please tell you're not stupid enough to believe that. I would hate to think you would be permitted a license or the right to vote if you were THAT uneducated.
To CapLee: clearly you don't know squat. Human kind AKA Homo Sapien Sapien has been around for over 20,000 years and unlike to fiction you're spouting, there are facts to back that statement up, not hearsay, which by the way is all the Bible is really. So and so said that so and so told him that so and so said that God said this. Please, the Bible is a good book for some moral guideance but hardly a book of facts. Please don't waste the brain the Good Lord gave you.

Billions of years old my buttocks!!!
Simple astronomy refutes the billions of years old theory
Most scientist agree that conditions for life qould require the star to be in the stage it is now - and that our sun is rather young
Basically you only have 2 billion years at the most to play with - rather it is more likely that is only a million or so. The problem is the literal seven days - Im flexible on that - but God created it all

So Im guessing that the earth was created with the Babylonians a fully formed civilization, right? Cuz recorded history started 6000 years ago.

That church is right if you ignore carbon dating, fossils, the fact that we have oil, which is just really, really old dead things. The fact that we can see more than 6000 years back in time through telescopes. If you ignore everything else, then it is true.
