Electrical Engineering......which areas pay more.....is it DSP, Embedded , FPGA, control or someother speciality area?

Guys...I love engineering and I am doing my MS in EE...my question is which specific category has more earning here in the USA?

Income is related to several things: which company you're working for, what your Master's specialization is, and where in the world (and often, where inthe country!) you're being employed.

If you get the right combination, you could be making significant money (for a starting salary) ... but your "top end" earning potential isn't a whole lot higher than someone with a bachelor's degree.

I'd agree with the other responder - don't get into engineering for the money. It just isn't there, unless (perhaps) you're employed with a defense contractor. And that can be a sketchy proposition in itself ...

Do it for the fondness of the job, not the money, otherwise you will be unhappy until you retire.
