No. This is like asking if you can drive a car without starting the engine. You should burn some MP3's to a CD and bring it in to work. You could also use a stream ripper, rip a days worth of your favourite online station to your hard drive at home, and when you come home, copy that to a CD-RW, bring it to work the next day and then when you get home, erase the CD and put that days worth of music on the CD-RW and listen to it tomorrow.

Your best bet is to bring a couple of your favorite cd's to work, and rip them to your windows media player. They will be then stored on your hard drive, and will not affect the network in any way.
