why do men feel they have the right to control and abuse? Why do men get on power trips?

Honey, sad to say but if you want to know the true reason why men think that they can control us and abuse us is because we let them, there are alway little "red flags" that we see in the beginning that we as women tend to ignore for some reason part of us thinks that he's been so good to us up until then that we think it wont happen again, and thats were we go wrong, if you put your foot down right from the start it's less likely that he will think that he can get away with that type of crap, but if you let it go, the crappy attitude he used to give you will turn in to disrespect and the disrespect slowly turns into abuse, nip it in the butt when it first starts and stand your ground, speak your mind and let him know right in the begining that you will NOT tolerate any disrespect from him or anyone else, always remember "IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF IT SHOWS, AND IF YOU RESPECT YOURSELF, OTHERS WILL HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO DO THE SAME" keep your head up sweety, remember "I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!"

Because they are bullies. Why?
1. They enjoy abusing and controlling others. Some people truly get a pathological sadistic thrill out of controlling and hurting others.
2. They are insecure pathetic wimps inside who can only feel better when they can lord it over someone else. A real man has no need to prove that he's better than anyone else. It's only losers who have that need.
You can not change people like that, all you can change is your reaction to them. And most importantly, change your proximity to them -- LEAVE them.

Men are threatened by successful women because of what the typical guy standards are. A guy is "supposed" to be the one who holds the power and is the "man of the house hold." When a women is successful then they feel superior to them and they feel that the women is even more powerful then they are. Then they feel that they are not living up to their standards of a typical male. Alot of men just have fear of themselves and that is also why they are threatned by a successful women because they might feel like the women can see right through them, even if they have nothing to hide.

Same thing that woman get from controlling a man.
Go read Ann Landers about the kind of women that invite and tolerate and tacitly concur with the way they're treated.
She's not always right on a lot of stuff, - but she's correct on this one subject.

Because He's very insecure.If he don't control her. He feel that he's not a man. (That's is correct.) He's a "PIG". And just maybe that's what he have been taught, and he don't know no better. They feel important. But when a crisis appear they tuck and run.

The answer to your questioon is a simple yet harsh one. We allow them to do these things to us.
The first time they yell at us we leave them and not say anthing or the first time they hit us we cry and leave it alone. If we put a stop to it then it will not happen again.

Because women need to be under control a bit, they are eratic and impulsive in general and need the discipline. The abuse part is TERRIBLE and should never happen to anyone
