That sounds about right. Most lab puppies that we see in our paractice weigh between 10-16 lbs at 8 weeks. By christmas she will probably be close to 20 lbs sometimes more at 11 weeks. By 6 months she should be at about 65-75 percent of her full adult weight which for a female is usually 55-75 lbs depending on the size of the parents. Good luck- lab puppies are lots of fun!

i'm gonna might desire to declare no in this one. I also have a Lab, he's approximately 15 months previous now. there is not any way i might have been able to handle 2 Lab doggies on the comparable time. they're somewhat severe capability and take loads of interest and education to alter into super canines. i might worry that in case you had 2 becoming up on the comparable time, one might feed off the others adverse behaviors and education might replace right into a becoming style of confusing for the two you and the doggies. i think of canines becoming up mutually is a superb thought, besides the shown fact that, i think of with Labs they deserve one hundred% devotion with the intention to strengthen as much as be the super canines they are able to be. i might wait till your doggies first birthday to characteristic yet another Lab to the kinfolk, yet that's in basic terms my opinion. Labs are many times very accepting to new doggies, so an addition later down the line should not be a controversy. We in basic terms have been given 2 bunnies some days in the past, and my 100lb Lab will lay on the floor and lick them till they run away. He loves new doggies, kittens and different animals!

I'm sure this age is correct. Labs grow VERY fast - which is why a diet high in protein and fatty content is soooo important for this breed. Feeding puppy food made for large breed dogs is best to help their bones keep up with the rapid growth. I have a 12 week Lab and it still amazes me how fast she's grown. She looks older than 12 weeks old!

If you want a more exact exstimate I think the vet may be able to look at the pups teeth and determime the approx age. If you are getting this pup from a breeder they should have papers for it that state the date of birth.
