I am doing a 1000 calorie a day diet along with walking 2 hours a day. I have lost 35 pounds in 2 months. I am not really hungry and I feel so much better.

In my opinion counting calories and excerising is the simplest way to go. No fads no attempts at 'magic' just good ol' fashion burning. Now I would recommend splittling that 1600 cals up in to about 4-6 meals if you can. That would make you less hungry and liable to scarf down a big 'snack'. Also eating more frequently throughtout the day really starts up your metabolism, because after each time you finish eating there is a period where your metabolism speeds up in digesting. Hope that helped. Oh,..and do some light weightlifting...(or heavy if u wanna look like Chyna : ) either way it helps cut down fat as well)
Personally my cal intake is about 2,500. And I run 30-40 minutes every other day and benchpress/curl ..etc.. for 20-30 minutes after that

To the person that said you only need 1,200 a day... YOU don't know this person's weight nor how active she is, so there's no way that you could say that.
But if you were recommended 1,600 per day, that's what you should eat. I'd try to keep track of the amount of fat you eat as well.
Keep doing your pilates; they've always been great for me! And continue working out at the gym. It might take a while but you'll get results. ^^

Yes fats contain more calories/ gram than rest of food stuff. Alcohol is No.2 in this respect. I personally think it is hard to count the calories the whole day and keep the record. Just increase your physical activity (brisk walking, jogging), avoid fats, sugars and food containing sugar for example soft drinks, and alcohol. Eat vegetables and fruits. Instead of eating 2-3 times a day, divide the same amount of food into 5-6 servings. Eating fewer times takes the body to energy conserving process which leads to wait gain.

It's calories in, calories out.It takes a certain amount of calories just to maintain life(normal metabolism). If you take in more calories than you burn, you will increase your weight; if you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. The average person can live a month without food,as long as you keep your fluid intake up.You can't live more then 7-10 days without water before your blood thickens and your kidneys shut down.Death will occur when that happens

No, you need 1200 calories a day
You will lose much much slower if you eat 1600 calories a day or perhaps not at all
Down your caloric consumption a little
