The devil was once an angel. He turned against God. God kicked Lucifer out of Heaven, then Lucifer created Hell.

The Devil is one of God's creations... All of God's creations bowed to God except for him.. and the Devil was the one who told Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden apple.. and the he was sent to hell and now the devil and his descenders are the ones that make humans sin. And if the humans did what the devil asked to do he will be punished.. so anyone who would go to heaven would have more good deeds than bad ones.. and if he had more sins than good deeds he will be punished in hell for a while unless he's a believer of God.

God created the Devil as an angel. The Devil was the head of the angels basically and thought that he had just as much power as God. He convinced 1/3 of the angels to fight God to take over Heaven. Unlike humans- angels are not given free will withouth major concequences for violating God's will-even slightly. So the Devil and the angels who fought with him were tossed to hell and we now call those fallen angels demons. Hope that helps.

The devil actually used to be an angel named Lucifer, but then he turned bad, so God kicked him out of heaven.

The devil and his evil things are the only things God hates. And if we're on God's side we'll hate those things too.

When God created Lucifer, He created him perfectly. It was Lucifer's choice to do evil, to be evil.

Like men, angels have a choice to choose or not choose God. Did you know that Lucifer was able to deceive 1/3 of the angels of heaven? But even after they had committed sin they were given the opportunity to ask for repentance, but they did not. Therefore, war broke out in heaven and the devil and his followers were kicked out of heaven.

God created Satan. He was beautiful and powerful. But it went to his head and tried to place himself above God. So God threw him to the earth (along with 1/3 of the angels who followed him)

We next see him in the garden of Eden tempting Eve. She listened to Satan and mankind fell from God's grace (now in need of a redemmer).

We see him in Job, accusing Job before God.

We next see him tempting Jesus. But Jesus stood firm.

At the cross, God says that he was "disarmed". Somehow his power over people has been diminished.

During the tribulation (the end times), he indwells the anti-chirst and gives him his power.

But his fate is sealed. He will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Did God know all this when he created him. Of coarse. He's planned it all out from the beginning. And every person has a choice today. Follow the prince of this world and the god of this age (Satan) or follow God.

I've made my choice!

Let's say for the sake of agruement a God and Devil do exist.

The reason for a negative figure is to be the counter force that will push us to a level of growth and understanding that wouldn't have been possible otherwise!

Which one is the negative force is an interesting question in itself considering it is this God figure that is killing over and over again! It is also this God figure that slaughters innocent children.

Sounds rather evil to me!

Who did the Devil kill? What just Jobs family? He's got to kill a lot more to catch up to God!

Satan is a fallen angel. He was the most beautiful of all angel while in Heaven tending to God. He was in charge of the beautiful music that glorified God at all time. I guess you might say...He's been alive forever... and he wrote the very first song. Does this mean that Barry Manilo is the devil? Who knows...

The angel who became Satan was originally one of God's in a good standing.

It reads in John 8:44 “He did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie.”

This shows that he was once in the truth but left it...that angel desired the authority that God has...this desire is the beginning of sin.

James 1:13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

God's relation to Satan now, is nothing more than an accused and accuser. Satan accused that God is not the one who should rule man and each of us are the ones who need to give an answer.

God created angels, Lucifer was His highest ranking angel and most decorated. Angels were created for worship and he had the most beautiful voice. God always allowed free will, the angels adorned Him because of who God is and what He is capable of they lived in His awesome presence. The devil decided that he wanted to be just as adorned as God and led rebellion in heaven. As humans this is hard to comprehend on a ton of levels, but when I get to heaven I will see the whole thing unfold.
