berringer white ziffandel. i don't even care for blush wines that much but that one is VERY good. it's a mix of white ziffandel and has a hint of chardonnay. it's also not overly expensive (and port is not a blush wine. it's a red wine and it burns when you drink it and it's REALLY sweet. and technically isn't a wine it's a port (made in portugal) it's like a desert or appetizer drink.)

By definition, a "blush" wine has had red color added to it. This comes in the form of red grape skins which are added during the fermentation process. This means you would have to start with a sweet white wine such as Gewurztraminer or a late harvest riesling, then add the red skins. Unfortunately there is not much to choose from except for the aforementioned Rose'. My suggestion, even though it is not a blush wine, is White Zinfandel. This is actually a deep red Zinfandel grape that has had its skin removed so the result is a much lighter colored wine. It is also sweeter than Rose'.

IMO, Beringer is better than Sutter House. Best bet, go to a wine tasting, (google it). In NY, there was a place called the Watering Hole. You could have a tasting for $5 and if you bought a bottle, they took the $5 off your purchase. This way you can test all kinds of wines and find which one you like best.
