If God said thou shalt not kill, why would he condone the killing of His son? Did Jesus really die for our sins or do people want someone else to be at fault for their actions?

God did not send His Son to die but presented Him to the world for it`s acceptance, but the world rejected and killed Him instead.

Jesus died of His own free will as a living sacrifice for those who believe. This started in the Old Testament with Animals, that had to be done every year. Jesus was once and for all, and technically, He did come back to life to Prove that God has power even over death. But, God did not condone the killing. Those involved will stand in judgment for their crimes.

The answer to your question is not as clear cut as your question is. It takes a lot of 'going into' to thoroughly explain the answer, but I'm going to sum this up as best I can. There is a difference between malicious, pointless, ruthless murder and sacrifice. While Jesus was murdered, He really wasn't, in a way. He GAVE His life. John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He GAVE His only Son. Jesus new before creation began He would give His life for us so that the ultimate gift of eternal life and reconciliation to God Himself could be available to us. Jesus didn't die for the sake of dying. He died so that each of our sins could be removed, He died to remove sickness from our bodies, and He died so that we wouldn't have to die. All that man has done and is doing and will do is forgiven through the blood of Jesus IF we, as individuals, choose to accept that forgiveness. I don't think He was murdered. Jesus did that for me so that when this life is over, I can come home to Him in heaven. He did it for me. And I thank Him daily for it.

Actually the Bible prohibits murder !! Unjust killing of another...... but, I digress...... Sacrifice was a means of showing obidiance, it did NOT have the power of forgiveness....... Man was forgiven his sins in the OT and up until about the middle of Acts in the NT for his obediance to God, for his rightousness of *faith* !!!! Jesus became the LAST sacrifice God would accept...... His blood was the LAST and FINAL payment for sins of man, past , present and future !!!!!! Life begins and ends with and in the BLOOD !! think about it ....... No blood ,no life !!!!! Satan is a demanding adversary and accuser !! Jesus was NOT demanded to die, that would defeat the purpose of His death in and by all accounts.... He IS God, Jesus' deity side could NEVER die, His human side died and spilt the blood that was needed on the Altar !!!!! The *other* alternative was given at the beginning of life when Adam and Eve were made, they had a perfect life, they obeyed God and all was right and good, they then made the choice to disobey, so the first *plan* was void..... they messed up !!!!!! that is the answer to your question, or at least as far as I am concerned, but your choice to believe it or not...... go in peace..... God bless

God didnt kill Jesus, Jesus offered his life, therefore it wasnt really killing, and even so, it was the Jews who killed him, not God. Murders happen all the time but that doesnt mean God condones murder, it just is part of life.

It is controversial whether Jesus died for our sins or not, but in my opinion, anytime anyone (no matter who) dies selflessly for something he didnt do or to protect someone esle, he died for the sins of the world.

Yes, isn't it ironic. "Thou shalt not kill". ha!. And then here we have this thing called "free will" !. It's not that he wanted Jesus to die, but it had to happen, and when I say "had to" I mean that "free will" is always present. Making any sense?. Mankind is so naive. Jesus brought incredible understandings of life and there are so many people that just don't want to understand. Here again "free will" !.

The commandment is 'Thou shalt not MURDER'. Killing and murder are often two very different things, albeit with the same result.

The one who executes a criminal, even one unjustly convicted, cannot be called murderer....only those who testified falsely to convict can wear that label.

You cannot find answers to questions like this from any person. You may ask, but you'll get so many different answers that you'll just be more confused than ever. Ask YOURSELF what you really think, or better yet, FEEL. The answers are all there. Just be patient and listen. It may take awhile, it may "hit you" all at once, but you'll know.

before jesus came, the people had to make animal sacrifices to cover up their sin. god wanted to make a way so that they wouldn't have to do that anymore. so he sent jesus to earth to take the place of all the animal sacrifices. he would be the ultimate sacrifices. nobody killed him, he gave himself. it was the main reason that he came to earth in the firat place. get it. if not i'll try to explain it better.
