Are you aware of the small differences between the Big 3,(Islam, Christianity, Jewish) They all believe in Adam & Eve, They just differ when you pick the son of God, Muslims believe it was Muhammed, Christians believe it was Jesus, and the Jews think he just hasn't come yet. Since all three are based on the same exact story, when you think about it, arent the big 3 religions more like different factions of the same gang. Gangs recruit, fight for turf, have similar structure and rules, unite to fight common enemies, use they gang to get themselves rich, use the gang appartatus to manipulate others to do their bidding, Does not religion remind you of a street gang? And before anyone leans on their "Jesuscrutch" too hard remember all the people killed in the name of God before you start yelling about morals and who has it right. Think of the relationship between governments and religion, They called it the dark ages for a reason. But anywho "Why cant we all just get along"?

Try researching some Egyptian literature, "the book of the dead" is one. It was written a few hundred years before the first of the nearly 160 different versions of the bible. Amazingly it contains the story of Isis and Osiris. A story you may know as Mary and Joseph as well as nearly every other story of the bible. By limiting your question to religious person's only, you are already saying you only want to hear an answer you are comfortable with. The world is much larger than religion. True knowledge is power and doesn't require an affiliation.
Also there is no Satan. Satan is a term used to describe angels God used to "test" or report back about humans. Many people use it as an excuse for their foul behavior. It comes down to choice, brain and body functioning, and upbringing. Religion is not "the" magic answer to everything. We are much more complex beings than that.

There are a lot more similarities in these religions than I think anyone of them wish to admit - and frankly if you look at all Earth religions you can see 3 major similarities just about across the board: A path of conduct which often boils down to the Golden Rule, a way to communicate with the powers that be (via prayer, meditation, visualization, etc.), and a way home when this is all over. Frankly, I think they are all talking about the same thing with geographical and cultural "translations" as it were.
I think of the big 3 more like Coke and Pepsi, than gangs. Each wants you to believe they are the best so you will keep contributing financially to their success. The term "Big 3" really says it all for me.
I am a religious person, but I do not belong to any of these groups. I believe we can all just get along. We must all realize that we will never be judged for the actions of another and a person's Faith falls into the Private Sphere of life and that is where it should stay. Religion belongs in the home, the heart and the temples - we all need to learn to live and let live. I think we inch toward that everyday as more and more of us speak out for unity and tolerance.
Peace!

You are so off the mark, factually, that your question becomes almost meaningless. The differences between the Big 3, as you call it, may seem small to you, but are in fact unbridgable chasms.
But just to correct something...only christianity believes in a 'son of God'... Mohammed was a human prophet, and the Jewish Messiah will be 100% human, a prophet and king, but nothing more.

the women who brought up children had time to observe life and stone age figures are pregrant goddesses with giant breasts and belly. Ding! A symbol of life. The kind of belief they had was probably that the universe was conceptually dwelling within the womb of this cosmic being, responsible for life and death and all we see. Quite a simple thing. But God or Allah isn't really alien to this because there is a similar concept in God who created everything at the beginning. it won't be settled by arguments or fighting, there are other ways

No the people who pervert scripture cause it to seem this way. I mean God has never encouraged hatred in me but some people seem to think that scripture advocates hatred of people with different beliefs. I mean I can truly say that I love all people and am praying for peace and tolerance. As to all the people killed in the name of God. It was not God and we need to remember that since it is people practicing religion it will always be somewhat perverted. Slave owners perverted the word to make it OK to make others submit to their will yet God only offers informed choice. About the atrocities in the Name of God, I am quite sure that the people bandying about His Name for the sake of evil will be held to account in the End.
As to all three worshiping the one true God it is a commonality but a shame that all do not know God's Grace.
As to Government and Religion. I've been leaning libertarian for a while. I believe that morality as long as not hurting others should not be government mandated and that that is between God and the person. Like I don't believe in the war on drugs. I think it is harming more than hurting. I think that government to should protect our right to worship and choose our religion but that we would have better morals as a whole if we were allowed to look to God personally for our morality and not government that He would help more than them. I just feel that government has no business protecting us from ourselves. I mean if the drug gangs were stopping because of war on drugs then it would be OK. What I've seen is we can't keep violent offenders in as long because we need room in prison for drug addicts and hookers.
But yea mixing of church and state has lead to many wrong and awful atrocities. Even the one Hitler did. If people of religions left the power where it belonged in God's hands and not government it would be a better world. Jesus clearly did not want to be involved in politics but His followers have other ideas.

Of course they are from the same beginning. Islam and Christianity are both offshoots of Hebrew. The sum of the three are called Abrahamic faiths as they were all based off of the teachings Abraham. This is why anything not of the Abrahamic faiths is called Pagan, which is just another umbrella term and not a religion unto itself.

technological expertise hasn't precisely shown something. this is all hypothesis. it is to not say anybody component is appropriate to state issues as a one hundred% actuality, yet there are those with non secular backgrounds that have had touch with an more suitable skill. i've got faith like technological expertise, like maximum different religions, has made claims that are particularly hard to coach. The reigning theory approximately how the universe got here approximately is the super Bang theory that asserts each thing acknowledged out of a tiny factor. think of for your self, does that sound real looking? And if that's the case, then why are a team of scientists arguing the recent theory of multiverse? this is real that faith shouldn't press its teachings onto people who do not welcome it, even though if it is likewise not precise for scientists and atheists to push their theories on others.

I remember that there was a time when there were only eight persons on the face of the earth.
One man and his wife, his three sons and their wives.
All mankind has come from those three sons.
Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Is it any wonder that their great, great, great, great, ................. (you get the point) grandchildren would have religions that have some similarities.
Shem's descendants believed in a monotheistic God.
One of Shem's great, great, great, great, ....... grandsons was Ishmael, from whose descendants came Islam, which is also a monotheistic religion.
Ham's descendants believed in polytheistic gods.
Japheth's descendants also believed in a polytheistic religion until they heard about a man name Jesus who claimed to be the long awaited Messiah of the Jewish religion. A man who died for their sins.

It's hard to figure out if you don't know all the players involved. Just as gangs have their godfather, religions have their spiritual manipulators working behind the scenes. If we go back to the garden, there is a clue. (Genesis 3)

You have very good point most all religion comes from the same root. Which really goes to show how true and important religion is. I think mos religions do get long except for the extremists on all sides and, quite frankly, they still do differ enough that many argue which one is the right one. I'm afraid there is only one way to find that out.
