About 4 days ago, I turn my comp. on and all of a sudden I hear nothing from my speakers. It says that there is no audio device connected but I have checked the wires and everything is still the same as it was. Can anyone help..please???..thanks...

If Windows is telling you that you don't have an audio device connected, it is not referring to your speakers but the audio card internal to your computer. Most computers these days have this integrated into the motherboard. On others, there is a sound card which sits in a slot on your motherboard. It could come loose and need reseated.

The most likely answer is that your sound drivers have been corrupted by Windows for whatever reason. I'd suggest navigating to the webpage of the manufacturer of your motherboard, or if it's a brand name computer like HP or Compaq, go to their webpage. Look for the support section and download your latest sound drivers. Reinstall the sound drivers.
