Absolutely, I know why. It is because Christians believe the Bible to be the Word of God. Those that remain in darkness hate the light. They hate the truth. Jesus said "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them"

If you weren't a Christian and realized how much Christianity is in your every day life, you'd be bitter too. Christianity is shoved down people's throats every day. Whether it be with government against gay marriage to Christmas being overcommercialized (if that's a word), it gets old pretty quickly. Try to imagine a similar situation if Muslims were the majority, and the Muslim religion was in every aspect of your life. It's not fun.

If christians used their religion as a personal tool in their lives, I wouldn't have any problem with it at all.
However, in the US, christians use it as club against others: abortion right, gay marriage rights, stem cell research, creationism in schools, Sunday liquor laws, and a host of other things.
In other words, they are not happy with their own religious freedom. They want others to be forced to abide by their scriptures. That's why I personally have no respect for their religion anymore than I would respect Islamic law.
Love the christian, hate the christianity.

Because Christians are the loudest at professsing their faith and telling others they are going to burn in hell for their transgressions - while the Christian judges (sin) homosexuals and atheists, engages in premarital sex (sin), divorces (sin) and generally act like a bunch of freakin hypocrites.
Note the word GENERALLY. Not all, not all the time, but generally, this is so. Fact is, most Christians do not even realize how hypocritical they are.

We don't have a problem with Christians. We just don't want to be brow-beaten if we are not. Keep your religion to yourself. Don't try to convert those of us who are not Christian, and god's sake (hehehehehe), don't tell us we are going to hell because we don't believe in Jesus.

you are right and the problem does not seem to be Jesus as much as it is pushy Christians who can seem to be smug and superior when dealing with non-believers, and this does not work.
