Research studies have shown that charred meats, be it from gas or charcoal, are potentially carcinogenic in animals. Some theories suggest a link to stomach and/or esophageal cancer.
The high heat grilling can convert proteins into heterocyclic amines, which may be associated with cancers. The smoke when fat and juices drip on coals may contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which also promote cancer cells.
Best to consume foods in moderation; use a gas grill to avoid PAHs. It's okay to have bbq meat; if something's burnt (ie skin) don't eat that part. Bbq veggies are okay, since they are generally lacking in proteins.

Although melanoma appears to be on the broaden throughout the board, people, canines etc., I severely doubt you might factor the finger at canned pet food as a rationale to believe a canine will increase a melanoma. My greatest challenge with canned meals is it's no longer whole. Verify the label - you'll be able to find most are ordinarily WATER. By way of all approach add a little canned meat to a complete food regimen if you wish to have, however i'd no longer feed mine canned meals on my own.

Yes, if you eat food that has been charred. Not on a gas grill, but a charcoal grill. It is known to be carcinogenic. I don't think occaisionally eating grilled food will hurt you, like couple times a week in the summer. I wouldn't worry about it unless that's all you eat!

Yes, but so many other factors are at play, so who's to say what, exactly, will give you cancer, if and when you get it?
To TWISTER: Barbeque, not barbeque sauce. Charcoal... carcinogens... get it?
